Strange characters after Wordpress Upgrade (2.7)

If you see strange characters in your post content (“I’, Â, etc…) after a Wordpress upgrade your will need to modify the following line in your wp-config.php

Original:

define(’DB_CHARSET’, ‘utf8′);

Updated:

define(’DB_CHARSET’, ”);

That’s it!

    Thanks a lot. It worked!!!
    I’m upgrading from WP 2.0._ to 2.7.1
    Just tested it on a test account and got some strange characters instead of ‘.
    Tried editing in EditPad pro, didn’t work.
    Editing wp-config file helped. Now it’s fine!
